Dominion East Ohio Home Performance with Energy Star Program

The Dominion East Ohio Home Performance with Energy Star program (HPwES) is a residential energy audit and retro-fit program that seeks to transform the way energy efficiency improvements are encouraged and coordinated.  It is built upon the comprehensive “house-as-a-system” concept.  The HPwES program, administered by GoodCents, will be offered to eligible residential DEO customers and features a home energy audit performed by energy auditors. The assessment will focus on providing customers with gas energy efficiency measures.  During the audit, a blower door test will be performed and basic measures, such as weather-stripping, caulking, and replacement air filters may be installed.  Upon conclusion of the audit, the auditor will provide the customer with a detailed list of measures that they should consider purchasing for installation in their homes.  Customers will receive a list of rebates available for each measure.  Measures offered through the HPwES program include furnace replacement, thermostat replacement, water heater insulation and replacement, and window replacement .
