EnergyShare
To make sure the elderly, ill and those facing financial hardship are not forgotten, Dominion Virginia Power, Dominion North Carolina Power and Dominion East Ohio created EnergyShare.
Highlights
- EnergyShare is a fuel assistance program of last resort for anyone who faces financial hardships from unemployment or family crisis.
- It provides gas savings through heating assistance in winter (for any heating source -- oil, gas kerosene, wood and electricity) and cooling assistance in summer.
- Payments go directly to energy vendors and every cent donated goes to benefit those in need because Dominion pays for the program's administrative expenses.
- Funds come from tax-deductible donations from customers, stockholders, employees, EnergyShare Partners and Dominion. Funds are distributed through a network of nonprofit health and human service agencies.
Applying for Dominion East Ohio Energy Share Assistance
- In Ohio, contact your local Salvation Army office to apply.
- Please note that cooling assistance is only available in Virginia.
