If you currently purchase gas from an Energy Choice supplier and your contract is about to expire, you can always select a new Energy Choice supplier.
What is the Monthly Variable Rate (MVR)?
- The Monthly Variable Rate (MVR) is an unregulated rate that may vary by supplier
- MVR customers will be assigned to MVR suppliers on a rotating basis
- After 2 months on the Standard Service Offer (SSO), former Energy Choice or Aggregation Opt-In customers will become MVR customers with their 3rd bill if they don't choose a new supplier or join an energy aggregation program.
- MVR customers can elect to move to SCO service at any time, even during the first 2 months on SSO
- MVR customers will not be included in next SCO auction in 2010
